ABC’s by way of “today’s lessons“.
*A- Favourite Animals: geckos, little monkeys..and I like dogs and horses too. And fish- I love fish, and little birds like finches,etc.
*B- Favourite Bad Habit: I hate all my bad habits… but if you are just curious I bite my nails..except during gardening season.
*C- Favourite Cookie: hard to choose just one- ok. Cardamon kringles
*D- Favourite Drink: Teas tea Green Genmai or a good latte. I am kind of addicted to Bosso Acai juice
*E-Favourite Egg Style: easyover
*F- Five Favourite Fiction Books: Dickens books especially Oliver Twist. Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment. Lord of the Flies. Katharine. Cooper’s “Last of the Mohicans”
*G-Favourite Gadget: I don’t know. I use them- I don’t care much about them.
*H- Favourite Hymn: “Be Still, My Soul” Words: Katharina von Schlegel, 1752. Music: Jean Sibelius, 1899. I also like the Hungarian galley slave hymn but y’all probly don’t know that one.
*I- Favourite Ice Cream: ooo not hard. Current favorite is Woo City’s Green tea
*J- Favourite Jam: black raspberry
*K-Favourite Kid’s Books: Beatrice Potter books- always much more than meets the eye, but the eye gets all those fabulous pictures. Secret Garden. Chronicles of Narnia. Laura Ingalls Wilder books. Big Orange Splot. Frog and Toad! Really many more.
*L-Favourite Love Song: Fields of Gold by Sting
*M-Favourite Memories: reading a favorite book with a view of Lake Michigan- @ 16 yrs old /Sitting on the beach in the salt spray of Edisto Island a couple years ago. Early morning walk along the ocean on the isle of Palms when I experienced a sense of the vastness of God and the smallness of myself. Laughing at the horrible vacation time when twelve of us sandwiched into the Ford Taurus on a camping trip to Michigan – it rained so much we spent half our time drying out the sleeping bags- my oldest daughter was complaining so much that we all just started laughing… and there were things that made made good memories in the midst of a bad situation.
*N-Favourite Nonfiction Books: Francis Schaeffer’s Complete Works. I like biographies in general. I read scads of Garden books and how-to books on practically any topic. Blue Jacket: Warrior of the Shawnees
*O-Favourite Operatic Song: I like light opera- and Bizet’s Habanera is probably my fav song
*P-Favourite Piece of Music at the moment: yikes. Some one took off with my player and I don’t listen to much right now- Maybe the current Fly leaf songs… I really like those.
*Q-Favourite Quiet Spot: a hot tub/ a pine woods
*R-Favourite Reading when you’re sick: The Bible if I’m terribly sick ( but also when I’m well- so don’t take that wrong), magazines if I’m just ailin’
*S-Favourite Song that you want played at your funeral: Handel’s ‘I Know My Redeemer Liveth’
*T-Favourite Task: weeding; hanging out clothes
*U- Favourite Ugly Animal: Orangutang or that fish with the hangdown mouth… the lantern fish or something. Dr. Evil’s cat.
*V-Favourite Vintage Book: Ozma of Oz
*W-Favorite Writing of C.S Lewis: Narnia books- but I liked ‘Problem of Pain’, as well.
*X-Favourite Word That Starts with X, Because The Equuschick Couldn’t think of any but xylophone: xeriscape ...of course! Don’t you?
*Z-Favourite Zoo: Columbus, naturally. Really, it is world class, now.
